Papillon at Mater Dei Hospital

Mater Dei Hospital is Malta’s brand new state of the art national hospital which was officially inaugurated to the public on the 28th of July 2007. Since then we have been operating two outlets at the hospital.

The Visitors Café

Situated in the main entrance hall at Mater Dei hospital our cafeteria caters for the needs of all those who are visiting loved ones at Mater Dei. The Café is a self service café with indoor and outdoor seating for those patrons who smoke.

The café serves a large selection of coffees, flavoured teas and cold drinks. For those with an appetite the café has a large selection of daily prepared, pre packed food ranging from sandwiches to baguettes and from salads to wraps. For those with a bit more time on their hands the Café also offers a large selection of warm food from snack items such as pies and grilled Italian ciabattas and everyday at lunch time we also serve a selection of pasta and main course dishes.

The Staff Restaurant

Situated at the University side of the Hospital, the staff restaurant was built for those who dedicate their lives to helping the patients at Mater Dei. The staff restaurant offers those who work at Hospital an area to sit down and relax during a well deserved break and offers a selection of cold and hot items together with a daily selection of hot meals such as pasta, soup and main dishes such as short crust pies, quiche lorraine, omelettes, meat dishes and many others.

Vending Machines

Papillon Caterers is also responsible for the numerous vending machines situated in key areas around Mater Dei hospital. The vending machines offer a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks such as cereal bars and chocolate and also food items such as sandwiches.

Functions at Mater Dei

Since we operate daily at Mater Dei Hospital we are ideally situated to take care of any catering needs you may have at the Hospital. Various companies and institutions already use our services for catering when organising seminars or conferences at the hospital.
